FLOOD OF INFORMATION
Three essential aspects of long distance communication are
1 its speed meaning time required to get information transferred ,
2 its accuracy meaning has the receiver got exact information as intended by receiver
3 Quantity of communicated data. meaning can sender was in the position to give complete details of information he intended to give.
When the telegram and telephone were invented limitation of speed of communication disappeared and messages could go instantly from one end to other end irrespective of distance between the two ends.
Earlier days long distance communication used to take days or months depending on the distance where information was required to be sent. With advance in technology speed of communication increased however quantum of information (details including photographs and drawings ) required to be sent from one end to other end was still the issue.
When the internet arrived there was no such limitation .Anyone can now communicate instantly across the globe with plenty of information including photographs and video clips which are supposed to enhance clarity. There is now flood of information flow these days. Internet Technology has no doubt enabled everyone to communicate with anyone wherever he may be located and made life simpler but now there is a new problem of excess of information available to many irrelevant persons.
The lives of many experts have become difficult as they have become answerable for all their actions to many self proclaimed expert persons who have plenty of information about the subject but little knowledge.Particularly Doctors have to face these mobile based experts every second day.
Everyone must realize that there is definite difference between knowledge and information.Just by ease of access to more information one cannot become wiser or expert if he refuses to use his common sense.
We are living in the era of information technology .....and it is good to have information but it can never substitute expertise.and knowledge about the subject .
If one has an entire Oxford dictionary at his finger tips it does not mean he or she becomes expert in English vocabulary !

Youngsters who boast ,question and at time even challenge experienced and learned experts based on information available to them on internet , should understand that there are no shortcuts to acquire skill, knowledge and expertise. The wiser thing will be to trust the experts and respect the knowledgeble persons.
Never forget what someone said...
Expertise doesn't come before experience even in the dictionary !
